**About the Role**

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conduct internationally competitive research in the food science and technology area.
- Prepare and delivery lectures, tutorials, practicals and seminars as appropriate.
- Actively participate at School meetings and contribute to planning activities or committee work to support capacity building in the School/discipline.

**Who We Are Looking For**
You will have experience supervising research students and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with staff, collaborators, and students. Additionally, you will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and collegially within a diverse workforce.

You will also have:

- Completion of a PhD in food science and technology or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in food science and expertise in one or more of the following areas: food processing and engineering, food technology, food structure, food chemistry, food microbiology, sensory science.
- Demonstrated experience, relative to opportunity, in developing engaging undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching programs.
- A demonstrated aptitude for independent research, with a sound publication record in relevant areas, commensurate with experience and relative to opportunity.
- Experience in supervising research students, relative to opportunity.
