Mount Druitt, Australia Uniting Full time

headspace Early Psychosis an early intervention service for young people aged 12 to 25 years, that runs alongside headspace. The service provided long term case management (up to 5 years) and supports those young people who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis or are at risk of experiencing psychosis.

**Role Overview**:
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Ensure every service users experience is recovery-focused and follows client-led goals through the development of a peer support coaching relationship
- Model coach and problem solve with clients based upon peer 'lived experiences' of mental health recovery
- Provide a range of peer support coaching sessions via face-to-face sessions, peer support groups and community focused events.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous experience in related industry, service, or equivalent level of experience to activities required
- The incumbent has 'lived experience' of mental health recovery
- Comprehensive understanding of the recovery process and ability to appropriately communicate a lived experience
- Flexibility in coping with organisational change and demonstrated ability to be innovative in clinical approaches with young people.
- Ability to maintain the philosophy, standards and policies of the program model and the organisation and to promote the recovery of young people
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act (2007)
- Current NSW Driver’s license

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Certificate IV in Peer work or equivalent
