We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join this leading Accounting Firm based in East Brisbane, some experience in working in this capacity in an accounting firm required.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Preparing Business, instalment and financial statements
- Payroll processing (Start to finish)
- Superannuation processing
- STP finalisation
- Taxable Payment Annual Reports
- Super Guarantee Contribution statements
- Bank, GST and balance sheet reconciliation
- Maintain a good standard of consultancy skills
- Maintain a high standard of efficiency levels in all aspects of employment
- Help drive the bookkeeping process from start to finish
- Liaise with Business Clients
- Work with the accounting team to ensure clients' accounts are up to date
- Review existing systems and recommend changes
- Help manage a team offshore

**Required experience / qualifications**:

- Experience in Xero accounting and payroll
- Bookkeeping Cert IV or relevant undergraduate qualifications
- Experience with third party Xero payment gateway & payroll apps would be beneficial
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role
- Ability to work across multiple clients
- Great team player
- Great problem-solving abilities
- Can work autonomously when needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
