Volunteer Home Visitor

We are looking for friendly volunteers who can home visit a family with young children 0-5, every week for 2-3 hours:
Essential Criteria:
- direct parenting/caring experience,
- enjoy young children
- caring, non-judgemental and reliable
- Live in Newcastle or Lake Macquarie LGA
- can attend our free training and preparation course, commencing every Tuesday 10am to 2.30pm from 12 August 2025 for 7 or 8 weeks.
we are looking for:
- Home Visiting Volunteers ( 7 weeks training)
- Family and Domestic Violence Recovery Volunteers ( 8 weeks training)
What will you do as a volunteer:
Through role modelling, chatting and spending time together you can be a safe and supportive friend for the whole family, reducing the isolation and loneliness that can lead to families to return to controlling and unsafe relationships through desperation.
