**About Psychology**
The Psychology Department promotes the highest level of care for our patients. The Department provides services on all three campuses of Austin Health and across the full spectrum of care, including acute, subacute and ambulatory/outpatients.
**About the role**
This exciting new role offers a unique opportunity for a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist or Clinical Psychologist to deliver a Department of Health funded Advanced Practice Psychology role. The first of its kind in Victoria, this position will embed evidence based psychological behaviour management practices across the acute and subacute hospital. Working closely with the Psychology Department and Health, Safety and Wellness Team, the role will develop advanced practice competencies in behaviour management and will provide behaviour support and interventions to inpatients experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, behaviours of concern
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
- Have current registration as a psychologist with AHPRA, and endorsement in either Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology
- Have at least 8 years of relevant clinical experience in providing psychological services in health or hospital settings
- Have extensive experience in providing behaviour support strategies and interventions for patients with a variety of health conditions
- Have demonstrated capacity to liaise across teams and work with a range of different stakeholders
