- mining and resources (iron ore, coal, gold, lithium and rare earths commodities)
- oil and gas

- public transport infrastructure

**About the role**

We are excited to again grow our **quantity surveying services** capability, hoping to meet the extensive demand of our exceptional client base with a new recruit

Our consultants either support clients on a task-by-task basis externally from the Neuplan office or integrate via secondment into an existing client team. Working closely with our commercial, contractual and project controls advisers (including quantity surveyors, construction managers, and lawyers), you will develop knowledge of our core business, our clients’ needs and gain an in-depth understanding of their projects.

Depending on your base discipline and professional experience, your work may involve complex, varied tasks to fulfill the following client project needs:

- project tender estimating
- feasibility study cost analysis and budgeting (estimates based on concept drawings, specifications, tenders, and project parameters)
- specifically preparing bills of quantities, quantity take-offs, assisting to prepare detailed tender estimates and cost planning (including from first principles)
- tendering
- contract reviews and risk analysis
- administering contracts (including assessment of cost risk and budgeting)
- contract claims costing (including variations and extensions of time analysis) claims preparation
- financial reporting (budgets, contingencies and cash flow analysis)

**Your background**
- A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management. Experience within mining/resources (process and non-process infrastructure), public infrastructure (road/rail/bridges) and/or or civil construction will be highly regarded.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a QS role within mining, resources or infrastructure.
- Contractor-side experience will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in MS Excel/Word.
- Excellent written skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and growing strategic skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
