Marvellous Nanny New Farm Permanent Part Time Role

Schedule:
- Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 3pm-6pm
- Some Saturdays for date nights and occasional proxy parenting if parents are away
- Leave periods must align with the family’s schedule
- Long-term commitment required
About the Family:
This active, sporty family of six is looking for a capable and enthusiastic nanny to assist with their busy afternoons. The family includes four school-aged children:
- 13-year-old girl (Year 8)
- 11-year-old boy (Year 6)
- 9-year-old girl (Year 5)
- 7-year-old girl (Year 2
The children are involved in various sports, including water polo, netball, and swimming. The youngest child has ADHD and may occasionally need to come home early from school, requiring flexibility in the nanny’s schedule. The family also has a friendly Cavoodle dogMum works mostly from home but occasionally on-site and will tag-team with the nanny to manage the children’s routines and activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Assist with school pick-ups, activity drop-offs, and homework help.
- Be proactive and organised, maintaining the household’s tidy and structured environment.
- Have a fun, patient, and engaging attitude, bringing warmth and creativity to the children’s afternoons.
- Be comfortable dividing and conquering responsibilities with Mum while keeping on top of routines.
**Required Skills**:
- Proficiency in English (first language)
- Ability to assist with high school-level homework
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both parents and children
Key Responsibilities:
- (some of these tasks will not be required every day, they will be case by case basis depending on the family’s needs that day)_
- School and activity drop-offs
- Homework, assignments, and study assistance
- Light household tasks, including:
- Folding and putting away laundry
- Preparing school lunches (occasionally)
- Grocery pick-ups (on occasion)
- Starting dinner (rarely)
- General tidy-up after meals and activities
- Encouraging the children to tidying their bedrooms
- Packing lunches and planning outdoor activities
- Tutoring and engaging with the children in creative ways
- Walking and feeding the family’s dog
Transport:
The nanny must have own vehicle. A petrol card and toll pass will be provided.
Essential Requirements:
- Blue Card/Police Check
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Two professional references
- Open driver’s licence
- Long-term commitment
