**Bookkeeper - Part Time**

We are a family-owned business that is very much part of the community. We have a small team that requires individuals who care about how they perform their job on a daily basis.

We are seeking an experienced book keeper in a permanent part-time capacity to join our team.

You will oversee three businesses based in Carlisle Street, all within 10 meters of each other. You will be across all three, working closely with the director, helping to shape his decisions and be part of the team. You will be a communicator and not only do accounts, but also pre-empt issues, help with identifying problems, suggest better efficiencies/savings and help to provide better financial governance for staff to adhere to.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Provision of all accounts payable duties, payroll, purchase orders, reconciling accounts etc
- Data entry/record keeping - ensure data entry of accounts into the organisations expenditure tracking system is completed in a timely manner in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Reporting - assistance with the preparation of financial reports required by management & staff
- Working with managers to adhere to protocols around cash management, budgets etc

**To be considered for this position, you will require**:

- Sound accounting knowledge with demonstrated experience in a similar role, including accounts payable and other bookkeeping functions.
- Knowledge of accounting package/s
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Windows
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills, to effectively manage competing demands.
- Ability to work independently and cohesively within a team
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with a wide range of people.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: $35.00 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- Bookkeeping: 2 years (preferred)
- MYOB: 1 year (preferred)
- Xero: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Australian driver's licence (preferred)
