**The Position**

**St John of God Mt Lawley** is a 205 bed private hospital located on the banks of the Swan River. We are a major provider of Rehabilitation and surgical services across Western Australia. We have vast experience delivering inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation to both public and private patients. Our services are supported by a team of experienced leaders, nurses, allied health and medical caregivers.

- **Clinical Educator** with recent extensive Perioperative experience to join our dedicated Learning and Development (L&D) team. The Mt Lawley perioperative nursing team encompasses a variety of speciality roles, including circulating, scrub & anaesthetic nurses, anaesthetic technicians, orderlies, post-op anaesthetic care nurses, and central sterilising department staff. The department is made up of seven operating theatres with surgeons and anaesthetists delivering around 150 surgeries each week that include obstetrics, plastics, bariatrics, paediatrics, orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, ear nose and throat, dental and oral facial
- As a member of the divisional L&D team,you would be responsible for the delivery, assessment and evaluation of Learning and Development programs and activities that reflect best practice standards to achieve excellence in service
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent or progression towards, recent experience as an educator in a healthcare environment, experience in needs assessment and analysis and delivery and evaluation of education programs and initiatives using a range of educational approaches highly regarded._
- This role is on a Permanent Part time basis, working 35 hours a fortnight.

- Currently registered as a Health Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and mentoring/coaching skills with the ability to engage with a diverse workforce.
- Effective conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of quality improvement and relevant Accreditation and licensing processes and associated links to learning and development programs that promote quality service delivery and safety.
- Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems, blended learning strategies and a range of computer packages.
