Acoustic Consultant

As part of continued growth of our Acoustics team, ERM Australia has a position available for a professional Consultant to join our Australian team.

Our projects (in Australia and overseas) include noise and vibration impact assessments, noise and vibration monitoring, development of noise and vibration management plans and regulatory reporting. Role Responsibilities:
- Assisting project managers or taking on smaller projects as a project manager in planning and delivering acoustics projects through collection of field data and/or site management/budget/task management;- Calculation, prediction and assessment of noise and vibration associated with transportation, power, energy and utilities;- Directing and undertaking noise and vibration measurement surveys;- Calculation, prediction, assessment and mitigation of noise and vibration from construction, industrial sites and maintenance operations;- Providing inputs into elements of project scoping, data management, and/or reporting;- Building effective working relationships with clients, project teams, disciplines and business units;- Understanding ERM's focus sectors, practices, products and services; and- Assisting project and practice teams to meet business financial targets, overall project budget and schedule, client satisfaction/expectations, and internal and contract requirements

If you have the following, we want to hear from you:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a consulting environment, with the following;- Tertiary qualifications (or higher) in engineering or science, acoustics;- Experience in acoustic modelling (CadnaA / Soundplan);- Experience with noise and vibration measurements / monitoring;- High level Excel skills including data manipulation;- Flexibility to conduct a variety of assessment and tackle complex problems using innovative solutions;- Good verbal and written communications skills, with attention to detail;- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships;- Strong initiative with the ability to work independently where required;
