
Sales & Marketing Manager Role

As the Sales & Marketing Manager of Play Retail, you will be responsible for the support and management of existing client portfolios, as well as driving sales and new business development strategies in line with Play Retail’s company direction from Simon (CEO) and our Fusion ANZ General Manager. Your objective will be to achieve profitability goals through exceptional customer servicing skills, targeting a diverse range of new markets and sectors. Along with being an experienced sales driver, you also be encouraged to leverage your experience and networks of industry contacts to ensure success in your role.
**MARKETING**
- Prepare and lead client presentations and pitches
- Identify monthly target industries based on the key market opportunities for the business of Play Retail
- Build a monthly marketing campaign across our digital platforms, including website, socials and EDMs based on our target industries.
- Work with our offshore marketing team to curate engaging digital content and strategy
- Monitor our NBD process and direct action where needed for reach out
- Be a mentor to a team of colleagues, to set good examples of overall sales process, across new and existing clients;
- Participate in weekly meetings with the other business Sales and Marketing teams
- Lead and support accurate on-time invoicing, reporting and expenses
- Be an active and positive contributor to team performance and culture, leading by example and setting the standards of leadership and best in class sales and new business development skills
- Ensure that all clients are provided services and relationships to the highest of standards to maintain their account and for them to refer their networks to Fusion services;
- Undertake problem solving in a collaborate and positive way making sure the customer is always satisfied; and
- Communicate and engage with internal staff in a manner that is informative, consultative and constructive for the achievement of business objectives. Develop project plans, scope and schedules
- Prepare ready to invoice reports
- Update forecasts and sales reports
- Lead and live the values and behaviours of Fusion Group
- Keep updated with and comply with all policies and procedures of Fusion
**FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT**
- Working with the CEO and Group Commercial Director to report monthly; report to outline what has been achieved for new business and retaining/building of current business;
- Tracking forecasted weekly and monthly to ensure the business is reaching sales targets;
- Ensure systems and processes are followed and are in place for Fusion to be responsive to the external environment, to be superior amongst the industry, to ensure financial optimisation and to manage risk.
**Key Attributes**
- Minimum 3 years of Visual Merchandising experience, accompanied by demonstrated knowledge of the retail industry.
- Demonstrated ability driving successful growth of new business
- Be a leader and example to less experience Account Managers and Sales teams
- Demonstrate positive leadership and accountability
- Strong and effective sales skills in negotiating and closing deals
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans in response to market activity
- Motivation, a sense of initiative and strong business acumen
- Analytical mindset with accurate record keeping, reporting and administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and relationships quickly
- A high level of organisation, time-management and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work both as part of a wider national team and autonomously
- Passion and thirst for knowledge and excellence.
- Be an inspirational and strong contributor to develop and grow the Fusion proposition
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
