**About the Role**
You will be responsible for undertaking a range of sterilising services in a hospital, health clinic and dental clinic environment, including the disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical and dental devices and the storage of sterile goods for clinical use. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure compliance with defence policies and procedures, Australian Standards and National Health and Medical Research Council guidelines.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Knowledge of AS/NZ 4187:2014 (Reprocessing of reusable medical devices in health service organisations) and AS/NZS 4815-2006 (Office-based health care facilities - Reprocessing of reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment, and maintenance of the associated environment).
- Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
- 1 years’ experience in central sterilisation department in an approved facility (or part-time equivalent).

**About Amberley Health Centre**
Amberley Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Amberley - the largest Air Force Base in Australia - approximately 50 minutes from the city of Brisbane.

The facility provides primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services to over 6500 RAAF members and staff. The standard operating hours of the centre range from 0700-1630 Monday - Thursday depending on role requirements, and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday.

With a solid knowledge of the requirements and routines of a clinical environment, you enjoy taking control of ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures as well using your excellent communication skills to advise clinical staff on sterilisation matters. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do. You are passionate about providing clinical support services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients.
