Our company Asiga Pty Ltd designs 3D printers and resins in our modern facility based in Alexandria, NSW. We are looking for a full time Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team.

As Mechanical Engineer Technician, you will work alongside our talented team of electronics, mechanical, chemical and software engineers to provide support to help develop new 3D printing technologies and products for market. The responsibilities of this role include but not limited to:

- Collaborate with the team to prepare and execute a change request form throughout the entire change request process.
- Support for the mechanical engineering team for the planning, design and implementation of complex electro-mechanical systems from concept to finished product
- Preparing of sketches to 3D CAD and production drawings and designs according to instructions from lead mechanical engineers
- Review existing designs to ensure standards and regulation standards are met
- Co-ordinate with electronics design and development
- Assist with integration and validation of new hardware
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Bill of Materials overview for upcoming projects, incorporating inputs from team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of costing and build requirements.
- Selecting components from warehouse and assembling mechanical construction and installation of electronics for new machines
- Functionality testing and calibration of machine sensors, lens alignment and image focusing
- Develop and implement clear, concise work instructions for post production maintenance and inspection

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage time by prioritising tasks and working to agreed time frames
- Strong work ethic, energetic & self motivated
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Competent in the use of ERP systems
- Competent in the use of MS Office
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work autonomously
- Experience in R&D and/or product development environments

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Alexandria, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
