The Y Queensland’s childcare services has been at the heart of Australian communities for more than 40 years, with our first early learning service opening in Brisbane in 1977 after we identified the need for childcare that focused on helping children grow in body, mind and spirit.

YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school. At OSHC, children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance and so much more.

We are now seeking **Relief Educators on a casual basis** to support our **existing OSHC services** with their daily needs and **set-up support for new services** across **Brisbane** and the **Gold Coast.**

This opportunity is a unique role that will allow you to work collaboratively with different services.

We believe it takes a village to raise a child; you will have a direct and positive impact throughout are OSHC Services.

Our YMCA services play, connect and learn on Yugambeh land and we are very proud to be a part of more than 50 different schools based across Brisbane, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As the Relief Educator, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Providing support and training to new staff at our existing or new service
- On occasion, engage with the children with educational yet fun activities
- Supporting the project team with ordering resources, and set up of new services

**ABOUT YOU**

Hold a Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children’s Services, or are studying towards a relevant qualification
- Previous experience with working in children’s services or similar
- A fantastic sense of fun and a tremendous imagination
- Hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
