- Bella’s Sanctuary is a safe place for women and their children to heal and rebuild after violence, providing independent, medium-term accommodation for up to five families at a time. It aims to assist women to transition into independent housing (either private rentals or public housing) while supporting the women who live there to be close to family, schools and work on the Gold Coast._

**Position Overview**

As a **Bella's Sanctuary Worker**, you will facilitate a smooth transition for clients exiting our program by coordinating their move into a new property which may involve connecting the client with local services such as RizeUp or Baby Give Back to ensure comprehensive assistance is provided for the client throughout this journey.

Collaboration with referring agencies is crucial in identifying potential tenants who are low-risk and have mínimal support needs when vacancies become available. We evaluate, accept and assist suitable referrals with the tenancy sign-up process. Furthermore, you will coordinate with our property manager to guarantee clients receive a quality high-standard service, ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and sign-up processes, and uphold proper adherence to the maintenance of our tenancy agreements.

In addition to these responsibilities, you hold accountability for cleaning communal areas and maintaining up-to-date records through our client file system. You will also collaborate with our property team within DVConnect to ensure the sharing of information related to property maintenance and follow-up tasks are addressed appropriately.

**What you will bring**
- Proven case management experience in at least one (1) of the following areas: _Domestic, family and intimate Partner Violence, sexual violence and abuse, child protection and/or residential support, or mental health._
- Completed tertiary qualification in Social Work or other appropriate field(s).
- Well-developed knowledge and analysis of the effects, causes and dynamics of domestic and family violence.
- Knowledge of Queensland Domestic Violence Legislations, particularly the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012.
- Exceptional and effective interpersonal, communication, and engagement/consultation skills.
- Current valid (P) Blue Card.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police check facilitated by DV Connect before commencing employment.
- Right to work in Australia with no restrictions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable car - must be willing to occasionally travel when necessary.
- Ability to work from Bella's Sanctuary (GoldCoast, QLD).
