**About the program of work**:
Over the next 3-5 years, Austin Health will be delivering several high value high risk projects that require extensive clinical health planning expertise and leadership.

Governance and leadership across the development process is required to ensure that the projects deliver an evidence based, viable and sustainable service that best meets the needs of our community, meets Government commitments, and delivers an innovative, responsive and valuable extension to the services offered by Austin Health.

**About the role**:
As the Program Manager - Master Planning/Major Projects you will be an integral member of the broader Victorian Health Building Authority/Austin Health project teams, and will provide clinical and operational project management for the Austin Health high value high risk projects.

Key elements of the role will include:

- Leading the delivery of all required Austin Health planning inputs for the Master Planning/High Value High Risk projects in line with the Project Management Plan and established governance arrangements
- Developing and delivering a robust and inclusive stakeholder engagement plan that identifies all key internal and external stakeholders, and aligns with key project deliverables and milestones
- Building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with key project partners and stakeholders, including VHBA, Capital Consultants, DoH, local council, neighbouring health services and research/teaching partners
- Providing regular project progress reports to the Austin Health Executive and Austin Health Board, including the identification of key project risks and the risk management and mitigation strategies

**About you**:
You will be someone with highly developed organisation skills, with a demonstrated ability to work to tight timeframes, manage and prioritise competing demands, respond to emerging issues and maintain strict confidentiality. You’ll have excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, including a demonstrated ability to effectively consult, influence and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Ideally, you’ll have:

- Project management experience in complex, multi stakeholder health service or health infrastructure planning
- A sound understanding of the capital planning project lifecycle, with the ability and skills to adapt to each project phase
- Experience with analysing and managing data in a health context
- Excellent writing skills, including a demonstrated ability to prepare written reports and presentations using clear and concise language, organising data into a logical sequences and including content appropriate for the purpose and audience
