Casual Mental Health Support Worker (HASI Plus Program) - Location: Carlingford & Western Sydney Region - Casual opportunity | Rotating 24/7 roster (Mon-Sun) - Shifts: 6:30am-3:00pm | 2:30pm-11:00pm | 10:30pm-7:00am, including weekends, evenings & public holidays - SCHADS Level 2 + 25% casual loading (commensurate with experience) Join our dynamic team providing essential community-based outreach and recovery-oriented support for individuals aged 16 and over. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in developing and monitoring individualised recovery plans that empower consumers to achieve their personal goals. You’ll assist with assessments and deliver tailored support that promotes independence and wellbeing. This role is part of the Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) Plus, a statewide, high-intensity, transitional rehabilitation program. HASI Plus supports people living with severe mental illness and complex daily challenges, offering up to 24/7 clinical and psychosocial support in a recovery-focused framework. About the role The Mental Health Support Worker of HASI Plus will work with the HASI Plus, Clinical Lead, and Service Manager to ensure that the most appropriate and effective services are provided to consumers of the HASI Plus service. **Duties and responsibilities also include**: - Assist in the delivery of individual assistance for consumers with a mental illness, based on individual recovery goals to support consumers. - Assist with the monitoring and review of consumer recovery plans, in partnership with Clinical Lead/carers/family members/clinicians/ community organisations as appropriate. - Promoting positive self-care strategies, enhancing social and daily living skills, increasing vocational capacity, and supporting community integration - Complete risk assessments and safety planning activities as required for consumers engaged with service **Essential Criteria**: - Availability to work AM & PM shifts between Monday to Fridays - Minimum Certificate IV in Peer Mental Health, Mental health or Community Services or related field or equivalent - At least two years of experience working with consumers with severe and persistent mental illness - NSW full Driver’s License - Understanding of the Principles of Recovery-Orientated Mental Health Practice - Demonstrated ability to develop Individual Support Plans and utilise outcome measures **What we offer**: - U Rewards - exclusive discounts from leading retailers - Ongoing training - cultural awareness, and more - Career development - Supportive Environment.
