**The Role**
The Commercial and Financial Analysis team is part of the Commercial Division, within the Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. The team performs a specialist financial assurance and analysis function, primarily focused on achieving the best value for money for Defence through the acquisition and sustainment life cycle, including undertaking detailed cost investigation and financial analysis.

Working in support of multi-faceted teams, you will provide commercial, cost and price analysis in support of complex procurement activities. You will support financial analysis as it relates to the evaluation of costing and pricing proposals and provide input to negotiation activities, which achieve value for money for the Commonwealth.

You will be exposed to a diverse range of activities that include the delivery of:

- Specialist pricing and cost analysis.
- Contract pricing model development.
- Financial risk mitigation.
- Tendered Price Evaluations and Negotiations.
- Contract Change Proposal validation.
- Contract Periodic Cost Reviews.
- Conducting the Annual Rate Review Program.
- Company Viability Assessments.

**About our Team**
The Commercial Analysis and Financial Analysis team provides commercial and financial analysis with a focus on pricing and costing, remuneration models and financial assurance in order to support procurement and contracting activities across the Defence organisation, and overall stages of the procurement and contracting life-cycle. The position will provide you with exposure to a diverse internal client base within cross-functional teams and provide significant opportunity to interact with industry across various industry sectors, including Defence Industry.

We are looking for a Commercial Analyst (Pricing and Costing) to join our team. Your role will be to assist and/or undertake price and cost analysis reviews and audit activities, including examination, analysis and reporting on pricing proposals and tender evaluations. You will assist with developing sound commercial advice to support improved outcomes.
