**About the role**:
An exciting Buying Manager role driving the buying strategy for Technology at our East Bentleigh Support Office. Reporting directly to the Head of Merchandise - Mobiles, Connectivity & Accessories, the key focus of this role is to influence and support the buying strategy, ensuring a compelling offer is delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive innovation through new products and services
- Implement new exciting initiatives as approved by the executive team
- Bring the offer to life in our store network and online channel in an engaging way
- Coaching and development of your portfolio's Buying team
- Accountable for the development of the promotional program
- Influence the Marketing program to create a unique proposition
- Accountable for the delivery of key financial metrics of sales, margin and stock turn budgets
- Strategically influence the business
- Develop strong relationship with suppliers

**About you**:
For this role, we are looking for an outstanding communicator with an ability to coach and lead a team towards a robust business strategy. Experienced in achieving success with an engaged and performing team, this exciting opportunity will leverage your strong merchandise skills and passion for driving a great customer experience.

Key skills:

- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Commerce, or Economics (preferred but not essential)
- Extensive Buying experience in a retail environment with strong direct sourcing exposure
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build robust relationships
- Ability to drive action through effective and collaborative leadership
- Strong commercial capability skills and financial acumen
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop Buyers reporting into this role
