**About the Role**
WesTrac has a fantastic career opportunity for a qualified and experienced HSE Advisor. Based from our Mt Thorley Branch, you will support the Hunter Valley and Western region of NSW.
Reporting to the Regional Safety Manager you will leverage your experience in partnering with large industrial businesses to ensure the uptake of and compliance with safety procedures and initiatives.
The role will require regular travel in support of our key branches in Regional NSW, with infrequent travel to smaller branches. A fully maintained vehicle will be provided with reasonable personal use permitted. This position is available on a full time permanent basis, working Monday to Friday.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure internal stakeholders understand and comply with WesTrac’s safety systems
- Lead incident investigations and champion actions
- Provide advice, assistance and guidance on best practice to continually improve a positive HSE culture
- Coordinate health, safety, environment and employee well-being practices to attain a harm free workplace
- Establish genuine and meaningful partnerships with managers, customers and key stakeholders
- Regularly engage with the workforce to promote a positive safety culture
**Skills & Experience**
- Qualification in WHS with several years’ experience in an HSE role within an industrial environment
- Working knowledge and understanding of WHS and Mining NSW legislation
- Natural ability to build rapport and establish relationships with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously while balancing a collaborative approach with the overall team
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to provide recommendations and action as required
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
