Care Kin is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Worker (SIL) in the Dandenong area. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by facilitating their participation and engagement within the local community.

Specifically, we are looking for several staff with strong experience assisting those with to engage with their community as they transition to from hospital-based care to an independent living arrangement. Relevant experience in this area is essential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one support to clients during community outings and activities
- Encourage and assist clients in developing social skills and building relationships
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times
- Respect clients' choices, dignity, and independence
- Maintain accurate records and documentation

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Experience dealing with Mental Health
- Reliable vehicle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- NDIS Orientation
- National Police Check

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 36 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
