Civil Construction Hire is Canberra's locally owned hire company. This is an entry level position in the hire industry which is an exciting and diverse industry where there is plenty of variety and opportunity to grow. We are looking for people with a can do attitude and the willingness to learn and be part of a team.

The company now has an immediate position available for a hardworking and reliable Yard Person to join our busy team based in our Queanbeyan Yard.

**The main responsibilities of the role include**:

- Day to day washing and preparation of hire equipment
- Ensure hire returns are refuelled and entered on fuel log
- Loading/unloading equipment
- Equipment deliveries and pickups

**We are seeking a person with the following skills, experience and attributes**:

- HAS A GREAT WORK ETHIC AND ‘CAN-DO’ ATTITUDE
- A valid forklift licence is PREFERRED but not a deal breaker
- Can follow instructions and work unsupervised
- Is self-motivated and takes pride in their work
- Is reliable and punctual and has excellent work ethics
- Is focused on providing the best service to our customers
- Pays high attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical activities
- Can work overtime, including weekends when needed
- Has a stable work history and checkable work references

Holding White Card & Asbestos Awareness tickets are an advantage.

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Queanbeyan East, NSW 2620: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Manual Drivers Licence (required)
