Compounding pharmacy is a unique type of pharmacy, in which medications are made specifically for patients at the request of a doctor. This art goes back to the original ways of community pharmacy however modern technology has allowed for more precise methods and our NCC ‘secret sauce’ has helped the business grow consistently throughout Queensland and into other states, all from our office and lab in Merrimac.

**Job description**

A successful team member will be involved in several tasks through the compounding pharmacy. National Custom Compounding is rapidly expanding throughout Australia and is looking for like-minded team players to join us.

A compounding laboratory technician will be required to make a range of medications and cosmetic products including creams, capsules, lozenges, solutions plus many more.

**Basic responsibilities will include**
- Assisting with various compounding activities under the direction and supervision of a Lab manager and Pharmacy manager.
- Creation of nutritional products, capsules, creams, lotions, troches etc.
- Maintenance of technical equipment.
- Restocking the lab.
- Performing order entry, batch management.
- Operating of the compounding computer system including compounding module.
- Attending to customer enquiries and requests if required.
- Following standard operating procedures of NCC.
- Cleaning and any other duties as required.

**Job Requirements**

Education, training, experience (will assist, however not compulsory)
- High School completion, Pharmacy Assistant training, Diploma or similar.
- Completed a Pharmacy Assistant certificate or Compounding Technician certificate.
- Pharmaceutical compounding training and experience.
- Must be details oriented with good organization skills and be effective working in high pressure environments.
- Learn quickly and multi-task effectively.
- Effective at working alone and keeping to time frames.

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
