**Duration of the training program: 12 months from 3/2/25 up to 1/2/26**

**Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement**

**At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract.**

**About the role**

The Medical Practitioner is responsible for managing the care of all patients requiring the services of the department of Anaesthesia in consultation with the responsible Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health professionals. Contributes to the provision of an Anaesthesia Service within the objectives and philosophies of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The incumbent actively contributes to continuous quality improvement in the interests of effective and efficient patient care and with a commitment to clinical teaching.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working with Children Check
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
