About the Role
As a Control Assurance Analyst, you will deliver control testing and assurance activities for Banking operational risk and compliance obligations and to provide recommendations to uplift and strengthen the control environment.
You will be coordinating SMEs for effective control test design and execution, identifying automation and efficiency opportunities, and fostering strong relationships to help Bank Executives understand their risk accountabilities. The role also involves identifying improvements to control design, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and ensuring control testing aligns with the Bank’s Control Testing Schedule.

What will your day look like?
**As a Control Assurance Analyst, you will**:
Collaborate with 1LoD Risk & Compliance teams and Control Owners to understand and define control objectives before testing, ensuring proper scoping and alignment.
Execute control test plans and assurance activities to meet Bank operational risk and compliance requirements, following the Bank Control Testing Schedule.
Identify and implement cost-effective solutions, including automation, to enhance the control environment and improve customer experience.
Negotiate and agree on control uplift opportunities with Control Owners, ensuring continuous improvement of controls.
Provide expertise in control testing, maintain test plans and results in Bank reporting tools (e.g., IRIIS), and support the implementation of Risk Management policies and standards.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Relevant degree in Business, Law, or related field
Prior experience in risk, compliance, governance, audit, or control assurance, with additional experience in banking/financial services and managing stakeholders and programs of work.
Effective stakeholder management, planning, organizing, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, with a focus on identifying issues and developing pragmatic solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a solid understanding of banking/finance products, market environment, and customer segments.
