**About the role**
This is a **permanent full-time** opportunity for a **Leading Hand / Driver** based in **Coolaroo VIC**. In this role, you will lead by example to ensure the team achieves its objectives, overseeing **workplace health & safety**, **KPI performance**, and **operational standards**.

You’ll work **Monday to Friday**, with **early starts** between **1am-2am**, and report directly to the **Operations Manager**. On top of that, we’re offering a **$3,000 sign-on bonus.**

**Key responsibilities**
- Assist in the **safe** and **cost-effective** delivery of **waste and recycling collection services**:

- Supervise Drivers/Operators to ensure **KPI targets** and service standards are met
- Communicate clearly and effectively with **customers**, **drivers**, and **sub-contractors**:

- Promote a **positive and collaborative team environment**:

- Allocate work efficiently to maximize **productivity and cost control**:

- Ensure daily **operations run smoothly and effectively**:

- Review and manage **Driver run sheets** and be prepared to **cover daily runs** in cases of leave or absence.

**What you will bring**
- Proven **supervisory or team leader experience**:

- Strong **mechanical knowledge**:

- Current **HR license**:

- Experience operating **Rear lift**, **Front lift**, and **Hook lift** trucks
- Prior experience in the **waste industry**:

- Strong understanding of **cost control** and **subcontractor management**:

- Excellent **verbal communication** and **organizational skills**:

- **IT literacy**
