THE ROLE

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support and technical assistance to the Underwriters, and for meeting service, production and profitability targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate, accept or decline simple new business, endorsements based on underwriting guidelines

Collate underwriting information and refer risks outside the scope of authorities issued or the underwriting guidelines to the team leader with recommendations

Monitor work loads and advise team leader if assistance is required due to exceptional circumstances, i.e. seasonal business loads or personal vacation

Assist brokers with product and business queries

Manage New Business Binds

Assist with amended new business quotes, Amended Mid term adjustments or renewals when required

**Qualifications**:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Strong written and oral communication, including a professional phone manner

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Ability to learn news systems and proficiency with Microsoft Suite

Insurance industry experience would be highly regarded

Ability to work well with people and on own initiative
