**How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space**:
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.
- Operate all lifting equipment incidental to own work
- Set up, monitor and operate a range of machines on developed products including preventative maintenance tasks
- Conduct daily prestart check of CNC machinery
- Notify supervisor of major malfunctions or when machine maintenance is required in a timely manner
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Load programs into CNC machine and execute program cutting of the material.
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet design specifications.
- Perform machine changeovers and change tool inserts as needed.

**Mandatory Qual**ifications, Skills and Experience**:

- 3 years’ experience manufacturing precision components using lathes and mills
- Experienced in the use of precision measuring equipment - vernier callipers, micrometers, etc
- Mechanical aptitude - able to articulate technical issues
- Ability to dedicatedly follow instructions, standards and procedures and work well as part of a team
- High level of consideration for safety of people, equipment and products
- Strong work ethic and high level of care in all activities carried out
- Reliable and consistent performer
- Flexible, open to change and possess the ability to work well under pressure.
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred

**Desired Qualifications,**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience manufacturing components that require a high level of accuracy
- Experience in manufacture of aerospace grade components small and large
- Experience working with a range of materials
- Experience CNC Setting and operating Mills / Lathes
- Ability to read drawings; Job specifications / Instructions
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is preferrable

**Licenses**:

- Current Australian Driver’s License (ability to drive a manual preferred)
- Forklift License (company may provide training)
