Our client has been established over 50 years ago, they are an award-winning, multi-outlet hospitality venue recognised for its great food, functions, entertainment & sport.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and organised Accounts Coordinator for a full-time position based at the Club.
**Role & Responsibilities**
Reporting to the General Manager and Commercial Manager, The Accounts Co-ordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the Club and shall devote time and skills to the welfare of the Club within the financial framework and general policies as set down by the General Manager.
**Responsible for the coordination of**:
- Responsible for the coordination of invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payment processing, debt recovery and MYOB data entry and reconciliation.
- Monitor and supervise salary and wage preparation and costs in line with the budgets and in accordance with the relevant awards. Maintain accurate staff personnel records.
- Ensure weekly payroll (salaries and wages) is processes and paid in accordance with the appropriate Awards and Contracts. Ensure the reconciliation and maintenance of proper payroll and banking records.
- Responsible for daily banking of all club monies including receipting, recording, balancing, and banking of monies with financial institutions as directed,
- Monitor the financial operations of the club, the expending of monies and financial commitments within budget limitations.
- Monitor an accurate debtor and creditors register, monitor suppliers to ensure cost effective purchasing using computers and relevant software. Record GST payments as required by the accountant for preparation of the BAS.
- Under direction, ensure statutory returns are lodge in a timely manner with the appropriate bodies, including Liquor Licence Victoria, Australian Taxation Office, Workcover and appropriate Superannuation Funds.
- Data entry of accurate fees and billable information
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients and customers
- MYOB data entry of accounts payable and bank reconciliation
**Skills & Experience**
- 3 + years' minimum recent experience in a similar role'
- Ability to prioritise, plan and organise work to meet deadlines
- Experience with MYOB is essential
- Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Knowledge of and ability to implement the correct taxation system and all other relevant legislation pertaining to the club network.
- High level understanding of relevant awards and industrial matters
- Computer literate and understanding of relevant computer software
- Understanding of and preparation of financial reports
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
