**Fixed term, full time position available for 2 years with a possibility of extension.**
**About the project**: We are seeking a highly motivated _Structural Biologist_ to lead projects aiming to understand the structure and function of chromatin-associated complexes involved in gene repression.
**To be successful you will need**:
- A Ph.D. in protein biochemistry, structural biology or relevant fields with an excellent publication record.
- Extensive biochemistry experience, specifically in expressing and purifying large multi-subunit protein complexes and analysing them through _in vitro_ methods.
- Extensive experience in structural biology techniques, especially with cryo-EM. This includes sample preparation, data collection, computational analysis, and 3D structure determination of protein macromolecules.
- Experience in cellular tomography workflows for EM analysis of cells and tissues (highly advantageous expertise but not required).
- Experience in the structural, biochemical, and biophysical study of interactions between DNA/RNA/chromatin and protein (highly advantageous expertise but not required).
