**What will you do?**:
We have a great opportunity to join the amazing Commercial Finance Team as a Commercial Financial Analyst supporting the Merchandise and Marketing functions. **The primary purpose of this role is to support key stakeholders in the Merchandise Trade and Marketing functions on strategic and commercial projects business. Assess performance of various trade levers and support the development of a robust trade strategy.** **Facilitate commerciality in the trade planning process by ensuring alignment with Merchandise and Online plans and forecasts. **Ensure delivery of marketing budgets and assess marketing effectiveness/ ROI. Drive the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes for trade and marketing.

This is an important role within Target Commercial Finance with strong relationships across all areas of the business to drive major end to end business initiatives. This role will be highly visible with senior leadership at Target and it is a great pathway to build a successful career within Target Commercial Finance and the broader Group.

Other key responsibilities may include:

- Support key stakeholders on strategic and commercial projects and contribute to business cases, investment appraisals and contract evaluation
- Deliver regular reporting, perform ad hoc analysis and develop tools and processes to deliver insights, identify risks/opportunities and support commercial decision-making
- Review the end-to-end performance of weekly trade and promotional activities, as well as events and campaigns, contribute to PIRs and provide insightful learnings & recommendations
- Work with stakeholders to implement appropriate action plans and steer future trade strategy and the planning of tactical offers
- Support key investment programs through appraisal evaluation, and performance tracking of actual versus planned benefits
- Support marketing team with assessment of marketing spend effectiveness and ROI including Target’s loyalty program
- Lead budgeting and monthly forecasting/planning processes for Marketing and trade, ensuring inputs and outcomes make financial and commercial sense, and the functions meet their annual targets
