**Poultry Farm Hands - Tailem Bend**

We are currently seeking a motivated farm hand to join our team at our location just a short 15-minute drive East of Murray Bridge, South Australia. We are offering casual positions with approximately 25-35 hours per week leading to permanent full-time in the future. Some weekend work, public holidays and unplanned hours of work will be required.

**Duties include**:

- Maintain RSPCA standards of animal care and welfare.
- Perform all checks and tasks indicated on the shed checklist before leaving each shed.
- Set up sheds ready for placement, assist in the placement of day-old chickens, and final clean out of sheds.
- Assist in catching operations as instructed by Farm Manager.
- Carry out maintenance as instructed by Farm Manager.
- Carry out general housekeeping and ground maintenance as instructed by Farm Manager.
- Perform the rodent baiting program as instructed by Farm Manager.
- Operate machinery and farm equipment as required, such as tractors, forklifts, and rotary hoes.

- Physically fit and healthy.
- Ability to understand, correctly interpret and follow instructions, procedures, and information.
- Good communication skills.

**Required**:

- Must reside within a half-hour drive of Tailem Bend, South Australia 5260.
- Reliable transport and Driver's Licence.
- Meet Biosecurity requirements - Do not have any pet birds, chickens, other poultry, or pigs at your residence.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $23.55 - $29.44 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week

Schedule:

- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Christmas bonus
- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
