We are seeking a **Research Development Manager** to facilitate the strategic grant development process, maximizing grant success and working towards sustainable expansion of our current research portfolio.

Working closely with the Head of Strategic Research Development (overseas based), this individual will actively lead and formulate implementation of the new grant strategy for the Institute.

**As our Research Development Manager your purpose will include**:

- **_Research Engagement_** - Engage with stakeholders to form collaborative interdisciplinary teams to scope, plan and develop CCIs strategic projects.
- **_Grant Development_** - Provide tailored partnership and advice to academic staff in the development
- **_Research Impact Assessment_**:

- Accurately monitor funding success and research impact and help to develop new initiatives to improve these metrics.

**To succeed you will have**
***:

- A PhD in cancer biology, oncology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in cancer research, including experience in project management and grant development
- Strong knowledge of cancer biology, cancer genetics, and related fields
- Demonstrated success in securing grant funding and other research support
- Considerable experience in scientific writing, including grant proposals and scientific publications
- Ability to build positive relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and develop new research opportunities and match these to the most relevant funding scheme
