Raging Waters Sydney - Maintenance Manager

About the role:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for effectively managing all areas of maintenance, contract management and construction at Raging Waters Sydney. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with building codes and standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and overhauls on rides, equipment and facilities ensuring complete compliance of the manufacturer’s specifications, building codes and standards- Undertake and general onsite maintenance, including preventative and reactive maintenance tasks in a timely manner- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work carried out, including repairs, inspections and preventative maintenance activities- Conduct regular inspections on the facilities and equipment to identify any potential issues- Ability to coordinate a range of general handy work- Be able to get on the tools as required and able to use hand and power tools- Ensure the proper functioning of all equipment including pumps, filters and plumbing systems- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards Amusement Rides and Devices- Coordinate the safe completion of repairs- Act as the liaison person for contractors, vendors and sub-contractors for the facilities department- Liaise and coordinate trades and department supervisors in the operational functions of the department- Manage contractor inductions ensuring compliance with industry and park standards- Oversee construction projects ensuring compliance with Australia codes of practices and standards, industry standards and park guidelines- Develop, review, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and annual plans for the Facilities Department- Implement and coordinate operational systems, processes, and policies for the Facilities department- Mentor staff and manage business functions including overseeing team’s commitment to excellent customer standards and efficient work load- Manage and co-ordinate facilities team members including resource planning and rostering, timekeeping, training, mentoring, recruitment and performance management- Oversee and coordinate training requirements for the facilities Department to ensure compliance with qualifications, certifications and ensuring specific job functionality training is provided- Maintain knowledge of relevant industry and other standards- Identifying and communicating industry developments and changes in best practices for risk, building codes and compliance management- Create and manage daily maintenance and budget procedures including operating expenditures, capital expenditures and labour expenses for maintenance- Report on expenditure against budget & manage actual labour costs within salaries and wages budget- Submit end of month financial reporting and analysis including making recommendations in relation to modifying existing strategies to maximise future profitability- Play a significant role in long-term planning and execution of initiatives geared towards maintenance excellence- Work collaboratively with all positions through close liaison with staff at all levels of the company structure- Be a proactive team member by assisting with the day-to-day operations of the park including set up, repairs, pack down and any other assigned duties- Contribute as a skilled and productive member of the Leadership team by participating in activities to achieve strategic and organisational goals including planning, reporting and KPI monitoring.
