Home Caring Shoalhaven is an ethical and fast growing provider of NDIS and Aged Care services across the scenic South Coast, extending from North Nowra/Bomaderry to Bawley Point, covering the beautiful Shoalhaven region.

We are seeking Casual Support Workers to assist with the provision of high-quality exceptional care to a range of fantastic clients and participants currently engaged in various towns within the Shoalhaven.

**Client requiring support as soon as possible: Shoalhaven Heads, with social & community participation/capacity-building, 2hr AM shifts, 3 times per week.**

Our Support Workers are home-based and utilise a mobile work model (with electronic support for administration), attracting a travel reimbursement and ongoing training opportunities, appropriate to client need.

We have clients currently engaged and more clients coming onboard every week.

If you come onboard with us, we will build your client-base around your needs/requirements/preferences.

There is scope for our support staff to work specifically with NDIS participants, Aged Care clients or a mix of both.

All Support Workers are paid according to the SCHADS award and have the ability to build their personal client-base according to what their own circumstances/priorities.

**Main responsibilities and activities may include**:

- Assistance with care in the home (bathing, toileting, mobility)
- Getting out for social engagement, activities and attending appointments (own vehicle essential)
- Assistance with household tasks (may include cleaning, meal preparation)
- Assistance with medications
- Light administrative duties (record maintenance, reporting)

**Requirements**:

- A genuine passion to work alongside participants/the elderly and to make a positive and lasting difference in their lives (essential)
- Professional or lived experience of the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors (preferred but **NOT** essential)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (online module to be completed prior to start date) (essential)
- Qualification in Disability, Aged Care or related field (preferred but **NOT** **essential**)
- Experience of complex behaviours and behaviour support methods (preferred but **NOT** **essential)**:

- Excellent communication skills, commitment to a person-centred focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances (essential)
- Resilience and compassion (essential)
- Current First Aid certificate (current or enrolled in)
- Current CPR certificate (current or enrolled in)
- Current National Police check (essential)
- Current NSW Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle (essential)
- The right to work in Australia (essential)

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
