Cg Supervisor

We are currently looking for an experienced **CG Supervisor** to join our supervisory team.

**Employment period**: Long term position.
**Location**:Adelaide & Brisbane, Australia. This position will be open to local and international applicants. Visa and relocation assistance provided where applicable.

**Position Overview**
The CG Supervisor will supervise, monitor, direct and influence wide-ranging creative aspects of high-end VFX production across multiple projects. With a strong understanding of all disciplines within the VFX pipeline, you will be directly responsible for driving success across multiple departments.

You are an expert people manager, a natural team player and forward thinking professional. Your success comes from engaging all areas of VFX departments and through clear communication throughout a shows lifecycle. You implement solutions to improve the overall efficiency at a show level. Utilising available resources, you drive your team to consistently deliver a high quality end product within the allocated resources and to the satisfaction of VFX Supervisors.

This position will suit experienced CG Supervisors with strong VFX skills and wide ranging hands-on experience. The strength of your creative eye, excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills will all be highly regarded. Through your previous supervisory positions, you will have experience interfacing between the supervisory team and the artistic team.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage, support and supervise key aspects of the CG pipeline including, but not limited to, FX, Lighting and Look Development, Animation and Creatures, Layout, Modelling etc.
- Work closely with the 2D department to ensure assets created are utilised as intended with mínimal excess assets created.
- Create technical solutions to ensure deadlines are met in consideration of each projects financial and resource parameters.
- Work with VFX Supervisors to ensure RSP delivers quality shots on time and on budget to the Client.
- Ensure briefs, from the VFX Supervisors, are well understood by the Head of Departments, clarifying and expanding on details as requested.
- Collaborate with the Head of Departments to set show-based technical directions and quality expectations to improve the images we make.
- Set clear goals and expectations for Head of Departments through direct communication.
- Work with production to outline scheduling and resource needs
- Work constructively with staff in all positions at all levels of the Company. This requires the consistent and efficient use of influence, over role power.
- Through regular communication with Head of Departments, maintain an ongoing awareness of the state of show assets and shots, maintaining an ongoing view of project health.
- Mentor and actively develop less experienced team members.
- Promote a collaborative and enjoyable workplace influencing morale, fostering purposeful discussion and positive work ethic.

**Required skills and experience**
- Minimum 8 years senior CG experience in successive 3D focused roles, including a minimum 4 years in the position of CG Supe/CG Lead, on live action feature films.
- Extensive production experience with Shotgun.
- Have an understanding of/creative eye for photography/film-making, lighting, design and [animation] timing/storytelling.
- Practical understanding of the entire production pipeline process.
- Multi-disciplinary understanding derived from working within Effects, Lighting, Compositing and Asset Teams.
