Public Sector People are currently recruiting for an
**Graduate And Trainee Program Adviser** to join Redland City Council. Role available 6 months + extension. Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join this busy department to provide high level administration support.

**Duties will include**:

- Establish, implement and review a graduate development program in alignment with Council's priorities, diverse workforce needs and talent attraction strategies.
- Engage with internal leaders to identify opportunities for graduate positions in their workforce and provide
expert advice and support during the nomination process for each intake. Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment to the overall program and Council priorities.
- Provide ongoing support and expert advice to both graduates and supervisors during their involvement in the program.
- Manage an efficient and effective traineeship and apprenticeship program including monitoring, reviewing and adapting the program to ensure ongoing alignment with Council's priorities.
- Develop training, support materials and resources that will help trainees and apprentices prepare for broader employment opportunities.

**Skills required**:

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation and issues resolution skills and proven effectiveness in providing leadership.
- Experience developing plans or strategies that provide a career roadmap for entry level participants that also addresses the attraction and retention of diverse talent.
- Demonstrated high level procurement and budget management skills including considerable experience in sourcing services, managing contractor performance, and budget preparation, monitoring and reporting.
- Significant experience in managing a traineeship and apprenticeship program through effective partnerships with key stakeholders including training providers and internal leaders to deliver on the programs objectives and outcomes.
