- Ventia’s Transport Team in QLD requires an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to join their team. This permanent position supports the delivery of road construction projects and maintenance and demands a strong focus on leadership to achieve the required outcomes and managing the environmental risks through early identification in the planning stages of projects and maintenance activities.

**About the Role**
You will develop site environmental documentation and training in environmental and sustainability requirements and awareness, and monitor performance of construction projects / maintenance activities.
- Driving a positive safety, health and environment focussed team culture
- Assist in incident investigation (environmental and cultural heritage), identification and reporting of environmental risks and development of risk control methodologies
- Ongoing development and maintenance of Environmental Management Plan and Project specific appendices
- Develop and design impact assessments and reports, including cultural heritage and environmental aspects
- Develop construction plans focussing on environmental and sustainability elements of site project management plans
- Assessment of Spoil Agreements for environmental impacts, recording and updating register of spoil deposits
- Perform audits and inspections and drive compliance through sustainable practices focussing on continuous improvement providing positive environmental, social and economic benefits

**Required Skills and Experience**
Solid experience in a similar role with experience on TMR TIC works or equivalent client contract works.
- Flexibility in working hours is necessary to facilitate delivery of project work during closures and interfaces with operational periods
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science / Engineering or similar
- CPESC or Advanced Erosion and Sediment Control Training
- Certified Environmental Auditor
- Sound knowledge of Environmental Standards, Legislation and Regulatory requirements
- Incident investigation experience
- Knowledge of Infrastructure Sustainability principles (desirable)
- Current drivers licence and construction white card
