**About the opportunity**
Oz Hair and Beauty is currently seeking a passionate and driven Retail & Salon Assistant Manager to join the team at our salon in the Queen Victoria Building.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the Management of the Salon and driving sales on retail hair and beauty products.
Other responsibilities include:
- Alongside the Store Manager, lead a customer focused retail team, training and implementing the Oz Hair and Beauty customer engagement approach on the shop floor.
- Support the Store Manager in delivering sales metrics, meeting (+exceeding) Oz Hair and Beauty benchmarks.
- Store loss prevention standards are within Oz Hair and Beauty benchmarks.
- Support the Store Manager in ensuring store wages are managed in line with predetermined wage budget. Overtime is not permitted.
- Assist customers with their purchasing decision by identifying their needs and wants and suggesting suitable options.
- Ensure you keep up to date with all current products and ensure your team is up to date and providing customers with the correct product information and pricing.
- Manage and resolve all customer complaints as required.
- Ensure end of day procedure is completed accurately.
**About You**
You have a passion for the hair and beauty industry from your experience as a Hairdresser or Beauty Therapist, or simply an experienced retailer with a keen interest in all things hair and beauty
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a 3IC or Assistant Manager role
- Excellent communication
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in all circumstances
- Previous experience working in a salon is highly regarded (but not essential).

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
