JBS is a self-insured employer in QLD. Our QLD Workers’ Compensation team are looking for a Claims Advisor to join their team.

**About the Role**

You will be responsible for the efficient processing and management of QLD Workers’ Compensation Claims. As part of managing your own portfolio of claims, you will be required to determine liabilities on new and continuing claims, make decisions in relation to the legal aspects of the claims and oversee the effective rehabilitation of the injured worker. This position will suit a driven and adaptable individual, who enjoys working as part of a cohesive team.

**The role’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Maintaining a portfolio of Workers’ Compensation claims from end to end
- Conducting timely investigations
- Provide support and advice to injured team members
- Communicate effectively in both writing and verbally when liaising with team members and stakeholders to create positive claim outcomes
- General administration duties

**About you**
- Experience in QLD Workers’ Compensation is desirable
- Strong computer literacy in MS Office
- Strong customer service skills and experience is essential
- Strong attention to detail skills to ensure that all conditions of a claim are met, processed and validated
- Medical terminology exposure would be advantageous
- Must possess a positive and inquisitive mind-set
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Desire to be part of a team that's open-minded, supportive, and approachable
