**About the Position**
In this role, you will be part of the Priority Populations research team, working under the supervision of Professor Kylie Lee. You will contribute to innovative research focused on addressing alcohol-related harms in Australia, with an emphasis on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside some of Australia's leading researchers in a supportive, collaborative environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct and disseminate high-quality research individually and as part of a team.
- Develop protocols, study timelines, and reports for the project.
- Coordinate research governance matters, including ethics approvals and stakeholder engagement.
- Draft scientific papers, conference abstracts, and contribute to external research funding proposals.
- Translate research findings into accessible knowledge for communities and health services.
- Supervise research staff and higher degree research (HDR) students attached to the project.
**About You**
You will hold a PhD (or equivalent qualifications) and demonstrate a strong track record of impactful research with priority populations, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You will bring excellent analytical and communication skills, a proven ability to manage large studies, and experience in securing research funding. Strong organisational and leadership capabilities are essential for success in this role.
**Essential Criteria**

- Strong research background in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- High-level organisational and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Evidence of success in securing external research funding.
