We are seeking an Accommodation Manager to join our team at the Nauru Regional Processing Centre.

**About the Role**

As part of the Senior Management Team, in your role as Accommodation Manager, you will be responsible for oversight of the Accommodation and administration functions of the Nauru Regional Processing Centre.

**General Duties include but are not limited to**:

- building and maintaining a productive working relationship with team members, transferees and stakeholder
- overseeing the wellbeing and safety of transferees, and/or accommodation and administration functions in accordance with Contractual requirements and in compliance with MTC Australia policies, procedures and standards
- providing leadership and motivation to supervisors and employees and engage regularly with teams to promote an open and inclusive environment
- approving, initiating, interpreting, revising and enforcing policies and directives to ensure the efficient management of the department
- providing proper safeguards and making regular scheduled and unscheduled physical inspections to ensure appropriate safety and welfare of inmates/transferees, employees and visitors within the work areas of your department
- ensuring your department responds appropriately to emergency situations and is compliant with relevant legislation, policies and standards
- making plans, developing strategies, and schedules, setting goals, and objectives to drive a continuous improvement model
- achieving budget performance in line with contract requirements
- attending regular training and refresher sessions to maintain skills and qualifications including but not limited to cultural awareness, mental health, CPR and first aid

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- proven management experience within regional processing and resettlement services. If not in regional processing, then another complex industry such as hospital, university, corrections, or similar large scale operational environment
- formal qualification in management or related field, however, significant experience will be considered if formal qualification is not held
- be willing and able to undertake induction training, working and living in a hot tropical environment on Nauru
- be socially responsible with the highest standards of personal honesty and integrity
- be flexible and adaptable approach to varied working situations
- proven right to work in Australia
- willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check
- current Working with Children Card
- current First Aid Certificate
- evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 (double vaccinated) plus one booster with a vaccine recognised in Australia.
