**About The Opportunity**

We’re excited to offer **multiple casual opportunities** for passionate **Food Services Assistants** to join our **Fronditha Care** team in Newcastle. In this hands-on role, you’ll help prepare and serve **nutritious, well-presented meals** that celebrate our residents’ cultural traditions and create a warm, homelike dining experience every day.

**The day-to-day responsibilities**
- Assist in preparing, storing, and serving meals according to residents' dietary needs and the food safety plan.
- Ensure meals meet nutritional and cultural preferences of residents.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and comply with food safety regulations.
- Set and arrange tables and chairs as per procedures.
- Wash dishes, clean workbenches and maintain a tidy kitchen and dining area.
- Assist with cleaning duties across the facility as required.
- Report any faulty kitchen equipment and maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee documentation related to food safety, meals records and stock levels.
- Participate in Fronditha Care's continuous improvement processes to enhance service quality.

**What success looks like for this role**
- **Minimum 1 year experience in the Aged Care Sector.**:

- Food handling certificate is essential but not limited to.
- Cert III in Commercial Cookery but not limited to.
- Previous experience with food handling and cleaning.
- Must have exposure to the **IDDSI framework**:

- Proven skills around infection control and safe food handling.
- Proficiency in communication and teamwork.
- **Must have minimum 30hrs per week availability**
