**About the Agency**
The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead agency for the Government's policy on sport and active recreation. ORSR is responsible for State Government policy and legislation as it relates to the sector, its key programs, sport and recreation infrastructure and funding programs. The ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, Councils and the community through the development of policy, programs and resources, the provision of funding, recreation and sport planning, infrastructure development, elite sport pathways and programs, and the promotion of physical activity.

**About the Division - South Australian Sports Institute**
The South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) is the High Performance Sports hub in South Australia. Its purpose is empowering people to achieve their sporting dreams and inspiring South Australians. SASI does this by:

- Optimising national representation and medal success on the world stage for South Australian-based athletes and teams.

**Role Highlights**
- Lead coaching role within a national network of high performance swimming hubs.

- **Role Details**
The Head Coach, Swimming is responsible for the day-to-day management and coaching of nationally categorised able bodied and para-athletes in SASI’s high performance swimming program ensuring that athletes can achieve podium performances at international benchmark events with the priority given to athletes tracking towards Olympic and Paralympic Games selection. The Head Coach, Swimming will be responsible for the oversight and mentoring of assistant/development coaching staff allocated to the SASI swimming program. In addition, the Head Coach, Swimming will provide strong management and coordination to South Australia’s high performance coaches and the broader South Australian swimming community. They will work closely with Swimming Australia’s Head Coach and key high performance staff as part of a collaborative approach ensuring system alignment between the SASI’s swimming program and the national high performance program. The position is also required to understand and align to Swimming Australia’s values of courage, unity and excellence.

***Special Conditions**
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.

**Essential Qualifications**
- A current driver's license and willingness to drive is essential.
- Swimming Australia Advanced Coach Accreditation (or international equivalent) and 5+ years in an elite athlete coaching role.

**Salary Range**

$98,478 - $104,165 p.a. plus allowances
