Hays are proud to partner with Bennetts Petroleum in their search for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. Bennetts are a proudly Tasmanian owned and operated business who have been in operation for over 40 years employing almost 300 staff in multiple locations across Tasmania.

**Your new role**
Based in a central Hobart location, as COO you’ll be a key member of the Executive. Reporting directly into the CEO. You’ll have 7 Direct reports and ensure that the day-to-day operations are running smoothly with a process improvement focus. Some of your key responsibilities will include;
- Leading a diverse, multi-skilled team with passion, and a clear vision
- Creating new solutions to continuously improve processes, operations, and practices
- Overseeing the management of scheduling and logistics for high volume distribution of fuel and lubricants across Tasmania
- Leading and supporting the commercial sales team to drive growth
- Management of all major assets ensuring they are serviced and maintained to industry standards;
- Procurement of company motor vehicle fleet both light and heavy vehicles, internal and loaned equipment
- Overseeing the management of the organisational safety and compliance program
- Supporting the technology team in servicing internal and external customers to drive improvement in business systems, transactional infrastructure and analysis
- Providing strategic advice and direction to the CEO/MD on major projects
