Hse Advisor

Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Ampol to deliver leading maintenance services to their Lytton site.

This is a short-term casual role commencing **10 June (no later), **for a period of approximately 11-12 weeks.
- Ensure duties are performed in line with both Wood’s and Client’s HSE programs
- Conduct in-field Safe Behaviour Observations
- Ensure compliance is followed and take initiative
- Regular liaison with representatives of the Client and other contractors on site
- Assist in gathering data for reports in
- Monitor the efficiency of HSE programs initiated by contractors
- Monitor corrective actions from incidents and workplace inspections
- Conduct and/or assist in hazard, accident/incident investigations.
- Previous relevant experience within heavy industry, minerals or oil refining processing industries
- 3-5 years as HSE practitioner. This is not a senior role
- Proven ability to influence and mentor others
- **Shutdown/T&I experience **will be considered favourably
- A good standard of written and high level of verbal communication skills including public speaking
- Demonstrated experience conducting and development of effective Corrective Actions
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 Safety Management Systems preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to analyse difficult problems and identify practical solutions for their resolution
- Ability to work as part of a high performing team as well as individually.
- Certificate IV, Diploma or Tertiary Qualifications in WHS are required
- Basic computer and report writing skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- First Aid must be current
- Nationally Recognised Training in Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights (desirable).
