**What you'll be doing**
This high paced customer focused role provides a 24/7 service as a Switchboard Operator at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals. The switchboard operator is responsible for operating the switchboard console and paging systems as well as providing a variety of other administrative duties as Switchboard Supervisor for BMDH. This role ultimately reports to the Manager of Administrative Services BMDH.

**Selection Criteria**
- Proven experience in a high paced administrative role undertaking complex and multistep tasks, including the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Experience in a customer service role demonstrating superior interpersonal & communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, hospital teams and the general public.
- Proven ability to follow processes with a high attention to detail to ensure that tasks are completed without error in a high-quality timely manner.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in high pressure, time sensitive situations.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in a team with mínimal supervision, escalating concerns appropriately to the switchboard supervisor.
- Willingness to work at both Blacktown & Mt Druitt Hospital Sites as required.
