As a continually growing psychology centre based in Gungahlin (Canberra, ACT), we are currently hiring for new admin receptionist team member/s, to expand our wonderful admin team.

- Therapy / counselling by a Psychologist (delivered face-to-face)
- Tele-therapy / counselling by a Psychologist (delivered via video call)
- Psychological assessments by a Psychologist (delivered face-to-face)
- LEGO®-based therapy group programs with our accredited facilitators (delivered face-to-face)

Our admin receptionist team covers a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, and all our employees work collaboratively to utilise each individuals personal strengths within their role.

The admin receptionist team is essential in helping to deliver each of these services efficiently to our clients at Autism Canberra Psychology Centre.

**Position Duties**:

- Maintaining client confidentiality
- Keeping records on the clients file of all forms of communication/s
- Greeting and checking in clients for appointments
- Triaging and bookings for new client referrals
- Invoicing clients for services / other applicable fees
- Process collected client fees (EFTPOS, MOTO, direct deposit)
- Set up invoices and process Medicare claims
- Filing and data-entry for returned intake and consent forms
- Processing questionnaires returned from clients
- Filing and maintaining documentation (hard-copies and electronic files)
- Data entry (electronically)
- Proofreading, formatting and securely distributing clients' letters / reports
- Preparing for upcoming appointments (e.g.
- Posting of mail (via Australia Post) and collection of mail (from letterbox)
- General tidying and some smaller cleaning tasks
- Shredding documentation and emptying the shredder
- Maintaining stock checklists and advising of restocking requirements
- Corresponding with the Practice Manager, Grace Flowers, as required
- Performing other tasks as advised by the Practice Manager and Director

**Highly Desirable Criteria**:

- Previous admin / receptionist experience (particularly in healthcare)
- Friendly demeanour and an empathetic approach to assisting our clients
- Ability to communicate effectively with our clients, the Practice Manager, the Director, and all other team members (verbally and in written form)
- Keen to engage in ongoing training as we continue to grow and improve our teams and our services
- Current A.C.T. Working With Vulnerable Peoples Card (WWVP Card) *REQUIRED PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT*

**Position Details**:

- Employment type: Casual employment contract
- Practice open hours: Weekdays between 8:00am - 6:00pm
- Expected work hours: 18-24 hours / week (min. of 3 days / week)
- Start date: ASAP is preferred (can be flexible for the right applicant)
- Renumeration: TBC in the interview stage (dependent on experience)
- Training and onboarding: support is flexible to suit each employee (accommodations for; preferred learning methods or styles, previous role experience / relevant knowledge, scheduling check-ins with the practice manager, regular admin team meetings, comprehensive WHS training, option to extend supervision / training period, + other reasonable adjustments at the employees request)
