Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation (DESF)
DESF employs support staff to provide Disability Support Providers various services from administration to disability support.
**Description**:
We are seeking a motivated Accounts Clerk and resourceful team player to join our Accounts team in our dynamic Cannington office. This position will work predominantly with Xero to assist the senior bookkeeper.
This part-time position will ideally be three days per week, with Thursday a must, but we are happy to offer flexibility of other days worked. Progression to Full Time employment is a possibility.
Bookkeeping experience desirable, or currently completing Bookkeeping Cert IV
Knowledge and experience with Xero
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Professional attitude with exceptional attention to detail
Clear and fluent communication skills
High level of trust, responsibility, and confidentiality
Ability to work independently
As Accounts Clerk your role will include, but is not limited to:
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
General bank reconciliations
Petty cash reconciliation
Updating internal database with account information
Working with the Senior Bookkeeper and CFO including some general accounts and possibly some office administration duties.
**Skills and Experiences**:
**Applicants MUST have**:
Xero, or similar experience
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
A knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to the role with a strong focus on accuracy
The ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
Good communication skills and an ability to communicate with management on financial matters
Remuneration will be dependent on the level of experience and skill set of the successful applicant, which will be discussed further at interview.
