
Steel Frame Carpentry Apprenticeship

**This is fulltime.** As an apprentice you will undertake a Certificate 3 in Carpentry, this is a 4 year apprenticeship. As an apprentice you will learn on the job to become a skilled and qualified carpenter.
The main role of a carpenter is to construct, erect, install, finish and repair structures and fixtures on residential and commercial buildings. You may also undertake the following:
- Fixing architraves to steel frames
- Fixing walls and ceilings to steel frames
- Fixing Door jams to steel frames
- Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry
To be considered for these apprenticeships the following is required:
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical
- Hold a current drivers licence and a willingness to travel due to changing sites
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in this trade
- Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour
- Be able to use initiative and communicate well to work in a team
- Hold a current white card (or be willing to obtain prior to starting)
